The library is part of the operational support that is the Medical Faculty's common support and service organization.
We provide coordinated and needs-based support to the faculty's activities in several different areas – contributing to a well-functioning everyday life for research, education, and administration.

Workplace Description
The library operations are primarily located in Lund and Malmö. We strive to offer accessible and relevant operational support, and therefore set high demands for understanding and responsiveness in communication with our users.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an engaged and pedagogically experienced librarian with good communication and collaboration skills. The main focus of the position is on teaching information literacy to students within the faculty's subject areas based in Lund. You will be an important part of our working group with teaching librarians, where we support each other and collaborate in pedagogical work, and where you will be involved in developing our support for students and teachers. The work requires a good ability to plan and prioritize, as the workload varies throughout the semesters.
As a librarian focusing on teaching, you will:
- provide integrated support in information literacy to students at undergraduate and graduate levels. Our student support consists of various teaching formats, such as lectures, seminars, workshops, tutoring, or as digital support in the faculty's learning platforms and the library's guides. We strive for progression in the context of the current education in connection with specific tasks that students will work on.
- work outwardly and create contacts to develop services within the area of learning support.
- work in the library's information service, both at the library's information desk and via our digital channels.
We welcome your involvement in developing new teaching moments in collaboration with the education. Other tasks related to the library's student support may occur.
Qualifications
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
- academic degree in library and information science or what the employer considers equivalent,
- experience in teaching and/or pedagogical work in information literacy,
- good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Desirable for the position is experience in:
- progression-based teaching in information literacy,
- library support within the medical subject area,
- the use of digital tools and resources to promote learning,
- working in digital learning platforms and library systems.
